Overview
Strixaderm MD was originally developed as a formula to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks on the body, including the thighs, legs and buttocks. But after some customers reported that they also began using it on their face to reduce wrinkles, the company that distributes Strixaderm MD decided to change its marketing strategy to also claim that the formula helps diminish fine lines on facial skin. Because the product was not initially planned for this purpose, the AntiAging-Reviews.com research team became concerned and decided to investigate the product for its anti-aging properties.
Featured Ingredients
Upon closer examination, Strixaderm MD does not seem to contain the correct ingredients to justify its claims that it can reduce fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Most of the compounds in the formula seem to be specifically mean to reduce stretch marks, including several botanical extracts that reduce inflammation. It is curious to note, in addition, that Strixaderm MD doesn’t even contain some of the better known ingredients for reducing stretch marks, making us question whether this product even effectively addresses its initial intention.
For example, Sesame Oil is a known antioxidant that helps soothe swelling and irritation, but it has no known wrinkle reduction properties. The same can be said for Algae extract, which may calm the skin but does not seem to encourage collagen production, which is an important key to reducing wrinkles.
Web Site Description
Unfortunately, while the Strixaderm MD web site focuses mainly on its claims that the formula can help reduce stretch marks, it does not present enough specifics about the research behind these claims. There are no references to any clinical trials on these ingredients, especially with regard to their ability to reduce wrinkles. In addition, it is not possible to try Strixaderm MD free before deciding to purchase the product, meaning that many consumers may feel forced to pay full price for a formula that may not work.
Positives
- Botanicals may help reduce swelling and irritation
Negatives
- Does not contain any known wrinkle reduction ingredients
- Web site is seriously lacking in clinical research
- No free trial offered
Conclusion
Even though it would be nice if a stretch-mark cream could also help reduce fine lines and wrinkles on the face, the research on the ingredients in Strixaderm MD simply fail to live up to our standards. In addition, there is no convincing proof that the formula actually helps reduce stretch marks, either. For these reasons, the AntiAging-Reviews.com research team cannot recommend Strixaderm MD.
