Benev is one of the few cosmetic companies that also produces pharmaceutical products in addition to its non-prescription lotions and creams. Even many of its non-prescription products are available only through your local doctor or dermatologist, which may limit access to very few consumers. While we applaud the effort to keep tabs on their supplies, AntiAging-Reviews.com feels that products that can reduce wrinkles and lines should be available to as many people as possible.

Featured Ingredients

The Dermalift line of anti-aging products contains Argireline and PRE Complex. Argireline is supposed to strengthen the facial muscles and reduce the contractions that cause wrinkles. Some research has found that Argireline may in fact produce this effect, but follow up tests have been inconclusive. While this ingredient does seem to be a safe alternative to Botox, not much is known about Argireline’s long-term effects on the skin. It is not clear what PRE Complex contains, but according to the company it is a combination of peptides and other ingredients that foster the renewal of the inner layers of skin and help the skin to retain moisture. While some of the research on PRE Complex is encouraging, this ingredient is not as well known or researched as Hyaluronic Acid, which seems to be a more effective moisturizer.

Some of the research presented on the Benev web site does seem to be encouraging, but the fact remains that the exact composition of PRE Complex is still not known. The company cites a clinical study on Dermalift, claiming that the product can reduce wrinkles by 20% and increase moisture by 130% in one hour. While this is less than the 57% wrinkle reduction from Regenex, as well as Regenex’s 168% boost in collagen, Dermalift at least is pretty close to these effects. The web site also contains a doctor locator function, which will tell customers which local doctors carry their formulas. Prices, customer testimonials and a free trial are not available.

Conclusion

While Benev seems to have produced an effective product in the Dermalift line, the products are not as powerful as they could be. In addition, the fact that supplies are limited mostly through doctors doesn’t make it very user friendly. There are better choices than Dermalift.
